Responsible for diagnosis coding review and vendor coding quality assurance, the full-time Certified Risk Adjustment Coder will ensure accurate representation of population care needs and risks while working remotely during business hours. Key responsibilities Perform retrospective chart reviews for diagnosis coding accuracy Identify and report coding error trends to inform risk adjustment analytics and deliver provider education Develop and conduct training seminars on risk adjustment topics for physicians and advanced practice providers Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED, or Associate's degree in a related field Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) credential Minimum of five years of experience with diagnosis coding review as a certified coder Demonstrated knowledge of the revenue cycle process, claims processing, and coding regulations Ability to identify issues and formulate solutions for retrospective chart review process improvements
