$70K–$85K base + up to $60K in incentives. Hybrid in Gloucester City, NJ.
Side By Side MRO is a South Jersey construction company based in Gloucester City, NJ. We do maintenance, rehab, and lead paint remediation, mostly for nonprofits and government agencies. Our partners include Saint Joseph's Carpenter Society, Camden County OEO, Gateway Community Action Partnership, and New Castle County, Delaware. We are EPA Lead-Safe certified, and we help make homes safe for families in our region.
We're hiring someone to own our government and nonprofit contract work: finding bids, putting together winning submissions, getting us approved for new programs, and keeping us compliant. It's closer to grant writing and proposal management than sales, and you earn a share of the revenue from what you win.
Responsibilities
■ Find and track bids, RFQs, RFPs, and contractor-pool openings across NJ, PA, and DE.
■ Assemble complete, on-time bid packages: forms, affidavits, certifications, insurance certificates, references, and narratives.
■ Keep licenses, lead certifications, insurance, registrations, and MBE/WBE/Section 3 paperwork current.
■ Manage contract compliance, closeouts, and invoicing support.
■ Recommend new certifications (asbestos, weatherization, radon, Healthy Homes) that open new contracts.
■ Build relationships with program managers at our agency and nonprofit partners.
Requirements
■ 2+ years in grant writing, proposal or bid coordination, government contracting, or procurement.
■ Strong writing, organization, and attention to detail.
■ Comfortable with Word, Excel, PDFs, and online procurement portals.
■ Valid driver's license; travel within NJ, PA, and DE.
■ Preferred: HUD, Weatherization, CDBG, or lead program experience; construction or housing background.
Pay
■ Base salary: $70,000–$85,000, depending on experience.
■ Incentive pay: up to $60,000 a year. You earn a share of revenue collected on new contracts you win (including new service lines), a smaller share on programs you renew, a bonus for each new program approval, and a bonus when a certification you recommended wins its first contract.
■ Expected first-year total pay: about $90,000–$115,000. Top performers can reach about $135,000.
