This role is responsible for leading tax compliance and planning engagements, delivering high-quality client service through technical quality control, cost effectiveness, accuracy, and timeliness. The role will be a member of the International Services Group leadership team overseeing various matters within the groupResponsibilities:Lead complex international tax engagements for multinational businesses, privately held companies, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.Advise clients on cross-border tax planning, international structures, transactions, and compliance.Oversee preparation and review of U.S. tax returns with cross boarder implications and information reporting.Research and advise on international tax matters including CFCs, Subpart F, GILTI, foreign tax credits, PFICs, tax treaties, and withholding requirements.Monitor changes in U.S. and international tax laws and communicate impacts to clients and team members.Coordinate with domestic tax teams and foreign advisors to provide integrated solutions.Review tax returns, workpapers, and deliverables for technical accuracy and quality.Manage engagement budgets, timelines, staffing, and client expectations.Mentor and develop tax professionals and support recruiting efforts.Leader of knowledge base within your corporate/entity tax technical skillset of the International Services Group.Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services and business development.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.Active CPA license required.10+ years of public accounting experience with significant corporate international tax experience.Strong knowledge of U.S. international corporate/entity tax law and compliance requirements.Experience with cross-border transactions, multinational structures, and international tax planning.Strong understanding of international tax forms and reporting requirements.Strong research, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proven leadership and team development experience.Ability to manage multiple complex engagements and build trusted client relationships.Experience with tax research and compliance software.Doeren Mayhew is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
